Top 5 Films

In chronological order. This is very much subject to change!

I just noticed that there is a mystery theme in most of this top 5. The perception of "reality" and relativism of belief is also a common topic.

Other common themes in some or all of these top 5 include (thanks to cross referencing IMDB key words): Based on novels or short stories, set in California, features a car crash, has death theme, disturbing, features a dream sequence, has a famous score, nudity, flashback sequence, friendship theme, features a hotel, uses imagery, is an independent film, characters are insomniacs, murder committed, is film noir or neo noir, psychological drama, features restaurants, features shot in the head, surrealism and has a twist in the end.

Now will someone please make a film featuring all of the above? :)
